Find your nail size

Let's find your width.

1. Start with bare nails.

   Use clear tape, a fine-tip pen, and a ruler marked in millimeters. Measure in good light.

2. Follow the nail's curve.

   Lay tape across the widest part of the natural nail. Press it gently along the curve and mark each side where the nail meets the skin.

3. Read it flat.

   Peel off the tape, lay it flat on your ruler, and measure between your marks in millimeters. Record nail width, not finger width or nail length.

4. Measure both hands.

   Thumb to pinky, one nail at a time. Repeat any uncertain measurement. Your hands can be different sizes.

A photo alone can't reliably measure curved nail width. Use measured widths and the shop's chart; ask for help if you're between sizes. A sizing kit, when available, is the best way to check a physical fit.
